Application

It is commonly believed that downdraft bench can be used for welding fume extraction, but this is actually a misconception. The natural updraft of welding fume at high speeds from the bottom makes it nonsensical to use a downdraft table. This leaves us with a dilemma; either downdraft tables are not effective for welding fumes, or the airflow requirement to make them work is too costly.

A downdraft bench plays a vital role in fixed grinding, polishing, sanding, and cutting machines as it can suck in particles and fine dust downwards to ensure a clean workspace. It also reduces workers' exposure to smoke and dust. The table is equipped with a handheld grinder power supply on the workbench, an electronic control system for turning off suction and starting filter self-cleaning, a dust collection tray at the bottom, and a fire-resistant pre-filter plate to prevent sparks from entering the pipeline. Note: It would be very convenient to replace the filter: Hold the cartridge filter by your hands and rotate. Clockwise rotate the cartridge filter to take it down from the table; Anticlockwise rotate the cartridge filter to fasten it on.

The filter from replacement can be reused, as long as it can be cleaned thoroughly, you can clean it by using compressed air.

Working Principle

Under the negative pressure generated by the fan, the large particle dusts directly falls into the dust collector drawer under the action of gravity after colliding with the deflector, while the fine particles enters into the cartridge filter chamber, the air pass through the cartridge from the outer surface of it, and the dust is blocked by the cartridge and absorbed on its surface.

When the blocked dust is continuously deposited on the surface of the cartridge, the cartridge can be cleaned by a manual cleaner, or can be cleaned by pulse jet by air compressor. The cartridge can be used repeatedly after cleaning, the longest use time can reach 24 months, and the purified clean air is discharged to the surrounding.
